We all lost last night. What I saw was two people with less grasp of the economy than my 5 year old. What I saw was two people who have no clue about this bailout, it's necessity or even why it came about.

Incredible to see those criminals engineering the bailout for the disaster THEY initiated and oversaw to its current state. Dodd, Frank,Schumer all at a table like saviours when they were the ones who blocked bills to rein this in over the last 8 years.

Republican led??? who are you kidding? This is the direct result of a democrat led(clinton and cronies) push for affordable housing for the credit disadvantaged. Subprime mortgages wouldn't even exist if it hadn't been for that. period.

Starderup, if you are cognizant of the problem with your 401k and all the other issues why not look deeper and find the root of the problem, truly it is all politicians and if you want a scapegoat why not try the only man with his hands in the cookie jar the whole time-Barney Frank.

well mscottring I would have you see for yourself. New york times 9/11/2003 politics page- I would link you but that is verboten here. Bush proposed a revamping of oversight on FNMA and FHMLC as well as attempting to remove some of the commissioners that were there.
